The Halcyon Active Control Ballast System has two ways to position and adjust your weight pockets. One option allows you to place the pockets vertically. Each system is designed to hold maximum weights of 2,6kg. The system has an Active Control Ballast (ACB), which can be adjusted to suit your needs. It is crucial to choose the right weight pockets for your cycling gear in order to maximize safety and effectiveness.

Trim weight pocket

A Trim weight pocket, a revolutionary new feature in the Halcyon tank mounted weight pockets, is now available. It allows divers to shift up to 10 lb. To increase in-water stability, horizontal trim and reduce gas consumption, the pockets can be attached to their cylinder. The pockets also counterbalance the buoyant effect of nearly-empty cylinders. A weight pocket will allow a diver to have more time at the bottom, be less tired, and maximize their diving experience.

Active Control Ballast, integrated system

The ACB can store up to 5 pounds of weight in each pocket. It is vertically integrated and easily releasable. This design allows for easy release and placement, and doesn't take up much space on a diver’s waist belt. An Explorer Light System can attach to the ACB pockets for increased versatility and safety. Side release buckles allow for quick access to weights and prevent accidental lead weight loss.

Mounting on a bottle band

The Halcyon new tank-mounted trimweight pockets allow for optimal weight distribution. They also promote comfort and stability during diving. They reduce effort, promote in-water stability and encourage the head-up position. Whether mounted on the tank, the pockets make it easy to balance the weight of your cylinder for optimal in-water stability. Here are some pros and con's of tank-mounted, weight pockets.

Heads-up surface airway protection

The Halcyon Trim Weight Pocket from the manufacturer is an ingenious invention. It allows for optimal weight distribution and promotes comfort in the water. The feature helps divers move their weight from the waist to their bladder, improving horizontal trims and propulsion. Divers can prolong their bottom time, which increases the diver's enjoyment. In addition to the positive effects of shifting weight from the waist onto the cylinders, Halcyon's Trim Weight Pockets counteract negative effects of near empty cylinders. They reduce effort required for divers to maintain their head and keep them horizontal.
