You can earn the SSI Mermaid certificate online. This means that you can complete it whenever you want and anywhere you are. There are two parts of the certification. The practical portion is online and the other part is online. Either you can do the online part on a desktop or laptop computer. Or, you can use your smartphone to complete the practical portion. The SSI App can be downloaded for both iOS or Android devices.

JODY PRATT, a PADI Mermaid Instructor, is a certified SSI Instructor trainer. She started her diving career at a young age and has accumulated many Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about diving and enjoys going back to basics during open water classes. JODY also holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainer certification.

Try Mermaid Experience
You've reached the right place, whether you have always wanted to be a Mermaid or just curious about the process. SSI offers a Try Mermaid adventure that allows you to swim underwater with mermaid Fins. This course is great for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. You'll get $15 toward your full certification after you complete the Try Mermaid course.

Rusty was born and raised in New Orleans. It covers 22 parishes and is the US's largest swamp. Living in the swamp has given him a deep appreciation for the unique cajun culture. Rusty also enjoys diving and underwater photography. He also loves spending time with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She enjoys traveling to different parts of the world to dive. Micronesia and Australia are her favorite spots to dive. Niki is passionate about exploring all parts of the globe.
Evi
Evi is a mermaid instructor and performer who teaches mermaid tail swimming. Her first Mermaid School opened in March 2018, and hundreds of guppies have been taught how to swim with the tail. Evi competed with Naomi in the World Mermaid Championship, teaching children how to swim with a Mermaid tail. Her goal is to help kids enjoy the water while being reef safe.
