
Technical diving skills can be improved by being familiar with your gear. You will be able to quickly locate your gear in the event of an emergency. You can also practice using backup equipment. Although you shouldn't go diving with your backup equipment you can practice using it if necessary. You will have an extra set in case of emergency.
TDI
Technical divers must also be knowledgeable about nitrogen levels and gas blends. Technical divers must be able calculate the number and order of decompression stops necessary to perform a multilevel dive.

NAUI
The NAUI technical divership skills course requires 20 hours classroom time. It focuses on advanced dive skills and techniques. It also emphasizes advanced lifesaving and rescue techniques, as well as contingency planning. To enroll in the course, students must hold an Advanced Scuba Diver certification. The course also requires that students are at least 18 years old and meet certain pre-requisites.
GUE
GUE technical diving skills certification allows you to perform rescue and technical diving operations. These skills include the ability manage an unconscious diver underwater and to use GUE equipment in water. Open water skills such as ascent and descent are also required for scuba divers. Scuba divers must also be able to swim 500 meters (450 m) in one breath, use basic equipment, and know their limits.
IANTD

DSAT

PADI
You can take a PADI technical dive skills course if you are passionate about diving. PADI Tec courses will teach you everything you need to know, including how to plan your dives and how to use decompression technology. You will be able to dive up to 50m (165ft) without any decompression time. Additionally, you will learn how to use a computer-based decompression software program. There are several different levels of this course, and the goal is to become a professional technical diver.
