A dive master is an instructor who leads organized or recreational dives. Divers with supervisory or guide responsibilities are required to have a dive master qualification in many countries. The job description of a master dive diver
What is the job title of a divemaster. This job involves several duties. These include assessing and supervising dives for customers, giving briefings, and leading dive teams through the dive. The job description of a dive master is more varied. A dive master may be responsible for several different aspects of a dive shop, including the general operation and social media presence.
Scuba instructors can teach and supervise divers in open water and swimming pools. They also supervise activities that are not related to training, such as navigation exercises. Open water instructors lead students through the tour portion of dives. This includes the navigation exercise as well as the surface swim portion. The job description of a dive instructor may also include directing certified divers through a scuba review course. The legal responsibility of dive instructors varies from country to country. In certain countries, however, the legal responsibility of diving instructors is exempted if the instructor signs a waiver.
Certification requirements
A course is required to become a competent Divemaster. A Divemaster course covers topics such as setting up a dive site, managing a group of divers, conducting diver flows, and finding the flow for dives. The minimum number of dives candidates need to have completed must be at least 60. Divemasters can assist novice divers with theory and skills, as well as assisting instructors during dive courses.
Dive masters must not only take courses but also pass a 2-part exam. Each part must be scored at least 75% to pass the exam. The PADI Instructor Guide and the eRDPML will be used to prepare for the exam. Students will need to prepare an Emergency Assistance Plan and perform five waterskills exercises. At least fifteen points must be combined. After the course is completed, all divemasters are required to be certified.
Internship requirement
Divermasters have many internship options. You can either assist with PADI Courses or help to set up dive spots, depending on your preference. Your assistance may be needed for skill circuits. But, your internship will have a pattern. An internship typically lasts for eight weeks. During this period, you may be able to become an Advanced Open Water Diver. After four to six weeks of training, you will be able to become a Divemaster or Diveguide.
In addition to the paid internships, you may find a free internship option for a Dive master. Although internships are not always the best, it will give you plenty of time to learn and receive advice from Divemasters. Additionally, you may be able to receive the necessary manuals, certification, and equipment as part of your internship. You must also know the requirements for enrolling in any Divemaster course.
