PADI's Specialty Emergency First Response CFC (EFR+CFC), training course is designed for individuals who may be required to provide first aid in emergency situations. For the course to be successful, you will need the proper equipment. Equipment can be rented. Click here for more information about this course. This course is also great for people with previous experience who want to learn new skills.

Course content

The EFR course is a great way to boost your confidence and your willingness to deal with medical emergencies. Participants are able to practice emergency care in a stress-free atmosphere and learn simple procedures. You will find self-study guides, videos, and quick reference cards. It fulfills all requirements for professional and PADI Rescue Diver courses.

CPR, rescue breathing, scene assessment and basic first aid are some of the topics covered in this course. The training also teaches participants how to treat common diving injuries. This includes learning to bandage, prevent, and splint. Students learn to protect themselves against pathogens, and other potentially dangerous substances. This course teaches you how to save lives and respond to potentially life-threatening situations.

Pre-requisites

PADI's Emergency First Response Course is a course lasting one day that teaches how to respond to medical emergencies. The course includes both classroom theory and skill development, as well as practice in real-life scenarios. The course does not require any pre-requisites.

Non-divers as well divers can take the course. The course covers CPR and first assistance emergencies. Participants learn how to respond quickly and effectively in such situations, with the help of quick reference cards and videos. This course meets all requirements for PADI Rescue Diver, as well as professional levels of PADI Scuba Diver. PADI instructors can also be certified in Emergency First Response.

Requirements

Training in Emergency First Response builds confidence and prepares participants for helping others in emergency situations. The course includes lifesaving skills such CPR, primary care, and first aid. It emphasizes the importance in minimizing risks. Non-divers can also be trained so they are more ready to assist in an emergency.


After completing the EFRI course, students can take the PADI Instructor Examination. Each course is numbered sequentially and begins with the EFRI prefix. Each course lasts 1 hour. This includes 55 minutes of class, and five breaks.

Refresher course

People who wish to refresh their skills can take the EFR Refresher Course. The course consists of two parts: a Skill Development session and an Exam. EFR refresher is optional but highly recommended by the EFR Instructor Guide. The refresher course will teach you the most recent developments in CPR and first aid. You will also learn how to use the AED. You will also learn how to teach others how to use the AED in an emergency.

It is a great way for you to brush up your skills and fulfill the requirements of the PADI Rescue Diver Course. It fulfills the requirements for Professional Rescue Diver and other courses that need CPR training. It includes an Emergency First Response video, which assists participants in preparing for emergencies and previewing the skills they will be practicing during the skills training session.

Cost

Half-day Emergency First Response Course teaches emergency skills. It includes classroom lessons, video presentations, role-play scenarios, and CPR, first aid, and AED use. The course is an important part of PADI certification. The course cost approximately 6,900 Thai baht per person. This fee includes the PADI certification fees for two years and the training manual.

PADI Emergency First Responseer training will give you CPR and rescue breathing skills, as well scene assessment and monitoring of victims. You will also learn how to give first aid for common diving injuries. You will also learn about bandaging, protection from pathogens, and splinting. PADI issues the certification.
