If you're interested in diving but aren't sure where to begin, an introductory course is perfect for you. A buceo, or baptism of the water, is this course is great for people with no diving experience and those with short time. The course can be completed at 12 metres. However, you will need to have a qualified instructor. You can also upgrade to Advanced openwater or Rescue certification if you take any more classes.

PADI Scuba Diver

There are many PADI Scuba Diver Course Levels. The introductory course can be taken by those just starting out and they can then move up to the next level after they have reached certain competency levels. The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of 14 modules, which are broken into three sections. The course usually lasts three days, but can be upgraded in as little as 1/1.5 days. This is the most popular course in the world and will allow you to dive to 18 meters.

Advanced open water diver

Open water divers can be advanced if they have successfully completed an Open Water Diver Course. AOW divers can dive further than the recommended depth of 60 feet. AOW divers can also work on buoyancy or air consumption. Open water divers with advanced skills can do specialty dives like wreck diving. There are many levels to an AOW certificate. These are the distinctions between each level. Read on to find out more about these different levels.


Rescue diver

There are three levels to your Rescue Diver certificate: the technical, recreational, and the dive leader. The standards for these levels are set by the International Standards Organisation (ISO). The levels of this training are based on BS EN 14413-2:2004 and ISO 24801-1:2004, respectively. Level-one instructors are qualified to instruct recreational divers, assess their knowledge up to the diver level one and plan and conduct dives. They can also lead divers in open waters and assist with rescue operations.

Cave-1 class

The minimum amount of experience required to become a cave diver certified instructor is 40 hours. Cave diving skills and standard procedures are covered. Emergency procedures and hazards are also discussed. During their cave course, students are tested on their skills. There are two parts to the course: academics and water-based activities. Students are required to pass an exam and demonstrate their competence by passing a quiz. The cave diving course requires that the student complete a manual.

Master Scuba Diver

There are five levels of the Master Scuba Diver diving certification. Open Water is the first level. It is where you learn to dive, manage your gear, and teach others. The next two levels include electives that you choose. Master Scuba Divers have the option to dive alongside other divers, provided they are also certified. This level also comes with a 10% discount on the five courses.
