Leo Carillo

Santa Barbara Island
Santa Barbara Island boasts some of the best offshore diving sites. Visitors can hop on a visiting boat to get out to these dive sites. These spots are ideal for hunting and photography as they are often very rugged. These areas also contain healthy kelp plants and purple-colored hydro coral. You can also see the ocean from this area, which is great for Southern California waters.
On the island, visitors can also participate in kayaking and snorkeling. If it is dry, tent camping can be done. There is a large population pinnipeds on the island, which includes harbor seals. These animals can also be found in the rocky areas around a sea lion rookery. They are located at many overlooks on island.
Anacapa Island
Anacapa Island hosts a wide range of marine life. The area is home to one of the first Marine Protected Areas in the United States. The region offers diving that is not only great for beginners but also for seasoned divers. The waters around the island are relatively warm and are ideal for diving with a wetsuit. Surface temperatures can easily reach 70deg F (21deg C) in the late summer and fall. However, temperatures can fall to a low of 50deg F (10deg C) during the colder months of winter. A 7mm wetsuit should be used. Visibility is usually at least 100 feet (30M) during these months.
Dive charter boats and Island Packers can access the Anacapa dive spot. There are many dive locations on the island. One of them is a 40-foot-tall archrock. These sites can also been viewed from the water surface by snorkeling gear.

Veteran's park
Veteran's Park, a Green Space located on Ocean Drive, has a playground as well as fields. This park is great for families who want to spend quality time together. It is located close to the beaches. It offers great views of the ocean from the park on sunny days. It's open all year round and has lots to offer.
The parking lot makes it easy to get to the park. Veteran's Park is the best spot to start your diving journey if you're a novice diver. It's easily accessible and has restrooms as well as parking. The meter will always be checked and there's an outdoor shower where you can wash your gear. There's also a changing room, but the bathrooms close at dusk.
