How to Enhance Your Technical Diving Skills

scuba diving near me lessons

You will be able to enhance your technical diving skills by becoming familiar with your gear. This will make it easy to locate the equipment you need in an emergency. It's also helpful to practice using your backup equipment. While you shouldn't dive with your backup equipment, you should practice using it when necessary. This will help you to have a backup set in case something happens.

TDI

Technical divers need to be familiar with decompression systems, gas blends and nitrogen levels. Technical divers must be able calculate the number and order of decompression stops necessary to perform a multilevel dive.

NAUI

The NAUI technical dive skills course is 20 hours long and focuses on advanced techniques and skills. It also focuses on advanced lifesaving, rescue, and contingency procedures. To enroll in the course, students must hold an Advanced Scuba Diver certification. It also requires a minimum age and pre-requisites.

GUE

GUE technical diving skills certification gives you the ability to perform rescue or technical dive operations. These skills include the ability switch regulators and valves underwater, manage an unconscious diver, and use GUE equipment within the water. Additionally, divers must be able to demonstrate open water skills. This includes ascent and descend. Scuba divers will also need to be able swim at least 500m (450m) per breath. They must also demonstrate basic equipment proficiency and be able recognize their diving limits.

IANTD

The IANTD Technical Diver Program goes beyond recreational diving. It brings a whole new level in safety and comfort to the diving experience. It trains students to use the rebreathers, which have cutting edge benefits such as longer bottom time and better decompression.

DSAT

DSAT TecRec's technical diving skills courses were first created in the 2000s. These courses have always produced highly-trained technical divers. The training method includes the most up-to-date training materials and an integrated, logical course flow. Each level covers everything, from beginner to advanced. The modular approach allows students to move at their own pace and gain valuable experience at each level.
