sdi diving philosophy
The SDI diving philosophy focuses on community. These divers aren't just individuals, they have built a community around diving. SDI divers are committed to helping each other become better divers, regardless of whether they're sharing information or providing support. This philosophy is important for many reasons. It also emphasizes continuous learning. Here are some examples:

Offering courses
For those who want to be certified divers, there are many SDI courses. The Open Water Diver Course introduces divers to the five specialties and allows for exploration of the waters up to 40 meters. These courses may include one or several dives. Another option is to choose a course with limited penetration, which only requires three dives. The course will still be rewarding, regardless of whether you choose to do the former.
Prerequisites for sdi diving courses
There are different prerequisites to take SDI diving courses. These requirements will vary depending on which level of certification you wish. Open Water Scuba Diver is a prerequisite for certification. As a SDI Assistant Instructor, a certified diver can further their skills by adding this advanced training. They are qualified to supervise certified divers. In addition to being able to supervise certified divers, SDI instructors also undergo training to teach them the rudiments of diving.
Cost of sdi diving courses
Open water and advanced divers are the two main types. Advanced divers usually complete four specialty courses, and log 25 dives. Depending on the course, students may choose from Night Diver, Drysuit Diver, Deep Diver, or Nitrox. Most students can do all four specialty courses in one course. Students can choose to do one or all of the four specialties depending on their budget and preference.

Online sdi diving course
An online SDI diving class can give you the foundations of diving, as well as the confidence to take solo dives. The course emphasizes safety and proper planning, as well as personal limits and emergency procedures. The course will help you understand the risks and benefits to diving alone as well as how your equipment should be used and set up correctly. This course is an excellent choice for those who would like to take up underwater video and photography as a hobby.
